January 3, 2009

While countless 21st birthday parties are to be celebrated in 2009, the very first week of the year was kick started by attending not one, but two 21st birthday celebrations. Many many more parties to come!

Sarah's 21st!

The econs girls were in charge of keeping the birthday girl away while the guys set up the surprise party at YG's house. We stayed in Sentosa till dinnertime, and what a sharp twist by saying we were all craving for Thomson prata. Very forced excuse, I know. And when we finally got the skeptical birthday girl to travel from Sentosa to Thomson with us, guess what, we said we had to pee badly so we should go YG's house first. Goodness! I wonder if surprise parties are ever successful with the birthday person being genuinely surprised. With all that lousy acting, I'm grateful that Sarah played along with us. Congrats (depends on how you perceive it) to adulthood!

Oikos!'07 - the not so young ones

Even though 21 is a significant number and ought to be celebrated to symbolise another phase in life, I would think a small cosy affair can perhaps be more meaningful than welcoming adulthood with a big bang. Exclusive invites to a few close friends, surrounded by good food, good music, good company, the plan sounds like a good idea in itself ;P

Prologue

Hello!

For self starters, de-clara-tion is created because it contains my name (go figure ;P),
and the word declaration defines the act of declaring,
for which i would like to see my blog as a declaration of things and people i love.

I am inspired to fill this blog with snippets of life's simple pleasures through my eyes - be it about my traveling adventures, food trails or simply random thoughts - and share it with a greater audience in the blogosphere :)

So watch this space and show some  ! Enjoy reading!
